MISSION

The Black Faith Coalition equips and empowers faith leaders, congregations, and community members to exercise their collective power in the public square through leadership development, civic engagement and policy advocacy trainings, and institution-building, We mobilize Black faith communities engage in the political ecosystem to organize, build and win.

Philosophy

The black faith coalition believes that...

• Faith communities are trusted and powerful institutions in Black life.
• Justice requires both acts of compassion and acts of justice rooted in organized power.
• Democracy is strongest when communities of faith participate in shaping the public good for well-resourced communities that have been marginalized.
• Collective action and power is the pathway to lasting systemic change.
